Sam Burgess shoots down speculation he might leave Bath Rugby

Sam Burgess has put an end to unfounded rumours coming out of Australia that he might return to rugby league next summer.

The cross-code convert has another two years on his contract with Bath Rugby and has just broken into the England squad.


Speaking at Pennyhill Park yesterday, having been picked on the bench for the World Cup opener with Fiji, he said: "There is no truth in it at all and I've not had a word from Australia, so I don't know where it has come from but it's definitely not true.
"I've not heard anything at all and let's just leave it at that. I've got a lot in front of me with Fiji and I want to concentrate on the job in hand."
