Squad player Henson set to stay at Bath despite interest from the Dragons

Gavin Henson has earned a one-year contract extension at Bath after rejecting the option of a move back to Wales to join the Dragons.

The 32-year-old centre has failed to settle and establish himself at a club since returning from a career sabbatical in 2010.

Having been unable to secure a regular first-team place at the Rec this season, he appeared destined to move on yet again, but Sportsmail understands that the double Grand Slam-winner has done enough to convince Bath to offer him a new deal.
