Gavin Henson "not joining" Newport Gwent Dragons - is new Bath Rugby deal imminent?

Coach Lyn Jones has confirmed that Gavin Henson will not be joining Newport Gwent Dragons for next season, with the Welsh star looking set to stay on at Bath Rugby.

Jones said in his Tuesday press conference that Henson's future would become clear on Wednesday but that it would not involve the Dragons, according to Wales Online.

Henson - who was man of the match in Sunday's Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final victory over Brive - is known to be settled at The Rec and in his home in Bradford on Avon.

Bath head coach Mike Ford was non-committal about Henson when questioned by reporters after the Brive game but it is believed the club have offered the Welshman an extension to his one-year deal.
