Bath Rugby Statement on Charity Tribunal (Lower) Decision

Whilst the recent Charity Tribunal decision is unhelpful, we remain committed to securing the long-term future of the Rec, not only as a permanent home for Bath Rugby, but also as a real asset to the City.

We remain focused on our proposals to provide a world-class sporting, community and cultural venue, proposals which have been overwhelmingly supported by people in and around Bath. We will therefore do everything possible to give the people of Bath what they want, rather than allowing the views of a small minority to prevent the realisation of a project supported by the vast majority.

We will be proceeding with our planning application for redevelopment on our existing site and are working with The Recreation Ground Trust on next steps.
