Bath Rugby secured top seeding for the Amlin Cup quarter-finals when they scored eight tries in a bonus-point win over Bordeaux-Begles this evening.
Mike Ford’s side made it six victories from six in Pool 2 with a dominant display at The Rec. They finish the group phase with 28 points of a possible 30, a figure that cannot be matched before this round of the competition concludes over the weekend.
Tonight’s five-point haul ensures they will avoid those teams dropping down from the Heineken Cup in the last-eight draw and instead face the lowest-ranked Amlin pool winner.
