MATCH REPORT: Harlequins 21 Bath Rugby 12


Bath Rugby suffered their first LV= Cup defeat at The Stoop as 15 first-half points from Ben Botica set up victory for Harlequins.

A tryless contest saw Stephen Donald kick three penalties and replacement Tom Heathcote one to keep Bath, who trailed 15-6 at the break, in touch.

But their hopes of following up last Saturday's opening Anglo-Welsh victory over Newport Gwent Dragons were dashed by the boot of teenager Louis Grimoldby, whose brace of penalties took the game out of the visitors' reach.
Prop Anthony Perinese and replacement hooker Brett Sharman were sin-binned in the first and second half respectively for Bath, who return to Aviva Premiership action with a home game against Quins in seven days' time.
