Bath's winning start to the Aviva Premiership season may have come to an end at the weekend but Ben Skirving insists there are plenty of positives to take from their defeat to Northampton Saints.
Gary Gold's troops had seen off Worcester Warriors and London Wasps prior to their trip to Franklin's Gardens but the 18-14 defeat marked the club's first reverse of the 2012/13 campaign.
But Skirving, a former Saracens No. 8, admits looking at the bigger picture is key if they are to claim the club's first piece of silverware for four years since they lifted the European Challenge Cup in 2008.
A losing bonus point was the reward for Nick Abendanon's try and the reliable boot of Olly Barkley, who kicked three penalties, but 28-year-old Skirving believes the momentum has not been lost.
