Bell retires after nine years with Bath Rugby

Bath Rugby announced today that Duncan Bell is to retire from the game at the end of the season.

A firm favourite amongst the Bath Rugby supporters, tighthead prop Duncan has made over 200 appearances in his time with the Club, having joined from Pontypridd in 2003. He's also scored eight tries in the Blue, Black and White, cementing his place in the Rec faithful's affections.

  1. Modern research is indicating that repeated concussions can lead to depression. Unfortunately the pressure to win is resulting in players who suffer concussion being played again too soon. The Cog tests, which are designed to avoid this, are not reliable because players deliberatly under score themselves during off season reference Cog tests. Anybody interested in this topic should read Bernard Jackman's autobiography.
