The thoroughbred of European rugby that is Leinster will come hurtling into Bath this week, foaming at the mouth, quivering with anticipation and in a rich vein of form.
Up against it is an English nag which, for all its fancy silks and grand stables, has so far this season done nothing but deliver a plodding mediocrity that – even to the most die-hard follower – has indicated an incipient lameness.
