Still places available to prove you are rugby's most passionate fan and claim a free ticket to the Glaws game on Saturday...

I was contacted tonight by one of the organisers of 'Rugby's most passionate fans' and there are still places available for your chance to prove you are more passionate than Gloucester fans, and get a free ticket to the big derby on Saturday!

This season, league sponsor Aviva is partnering with the University of Bath to scientifically prove which Aviva Premiership club has the league’s most passionate rugby fans, and settle the debate once and for all!

The research team will visit six Aviva Premiership ‘crunch’ matches during the season to collect psychological and physiological data from a section of supporters: measuring their heart rate, noise, anxiety and testosterone levels during the match.

And the research team kick off the season at the Gloucester v Bath match on Saturday (24th September).

Aviva are giving the chosen fans a free ticket & Bath shirt - so if you fancy representing your club and being a guinea pig for the day, all you need to do is email avivapremiershipfans@gmail.com with ‘Bath fans’ in the title, along with your name, age, address, shirt size and a sentence or two explaining why you are one of Bath’s most passionate fans.

This weeks Chronicle articles...

One waggish journalist had the audacity to remind Sir Ian McGeechan that it was his 46th year in top-flight rugby following Bath's opening-day win in the Aviva Premiership.

The thrust of his question was to enquire whether Bath's director of rugby still had the appetite for the game.

For his answer, he need only have looked in the direction of the Bath coaches' bench during this well-orchestrated triumph at Kingston Park.

McGeechan had grinned broadly and clapped loudly whenever the Bath pack got on the front foot and the slightest whiff of impending drama had him rising to his feet.
