Bath beat Quins!

MATCH REPORT: Bath Rugby 19 Harlequins 15

Butch James’ right boot and granite-hard defence gave Bath Rugby their second win on the bounce in the Aviva Premiership as they squeezed home against Harlequins.

Bath withstood tremendous pressure in the dying moments, and weathered a shaky period midway through the second half when they were reduced to 14 men.

A scattering of home fans had responded to the club’s call to dress as Romans – and this was a match always likely to be a gladiatorial contest between two sides vying not only for a Heineken Cup berth but to keep their faint hopes of a top four league finish alive.
