Johnson releases Banahan

Martin Johnson has mercifully little on his mind at the moment, what with England sitting pretty at the top of the Six Nations table and preparing at their leisure for a home game against the struggling Scots in 12 days. Red rose managers are never in a position to please everyone, though. Johnson's decision to release Matt Banahan back to Bath for the derby with Gloucester this weekend will not have them dancing in the streets around Kingsholm, especially as he is denying the Cherry and Whites the services of Paul Doran-Jones, their first-choice prop.
