Steve Meehan is backing Olly Barkley to hit his finest form for Bath Rugby after signing a new two-year deal with the club.
The head coach says Barkley is aware he may not always be deployed in his preferred position of inside centre but that the 29-year-old is more than happy to put the team first and play wherever he is asked.
Barkley, who has played 23 times for England, opted to extend his stay at Bath despite speculation that French Top 14 side Clermont Auvergne were interested in securing his services.
