Those developments include a new training centre and headquarters 20 minutes south of the city, on the site of a country house and deer park, and a new ground by 2015. Three sites for the new stadium have been identified but it is understood that Bath city council has warmed to Craig's commitment to the club and that building a 25,000-seater stadium at the existing Recreation Ground site is the favoured and most likely option.
"It's our preference, it's everyone's preference," said Craig. "The Rec is the spiritual home of the club."
Craig also gave a strong indication that he was against freezing Premier Rugby's wage cap at £4m.
