In the aftermath of their scintillating win over London Wasps, which puts them in pole position to claim the final play-off place against Leicester, Bath are hoping for further good news with confirmation that Ian McGeechan will agree to become the club’s director of rugby next season.
In a move that would give the legendary coach one last top-flight appointment before retirement, McGeechan is thought of as the final piece in an expanded management structure after the takeover by Bruce Craig, the multimillionaire new owner.
