New owner Craig calls for a level playing field

Bath Rugby are calling for a shake-up of the game's salary cap – just as the tax man turns up the heat on other Guinness Premiership clubs.

New club owner Bruce Craig has called for the English game's wage cap to be increased so that Premiership sides can compete with France's Top 14 big-hitters.

The club's chief executive Nick Blofeld, meanwhile, has been closely analysing the salary cap regulations to grasp whether certain areas are ripe for change.
